We were initially commissioned by Sandwell MBC to develop art features through an engagement programme with the school. We had previously worked with the school as part of a Creative Partnerships programme and this was a natural extension of that work. Subsequently we were asked to develop the internal finishes scheme. We designed external elements such as the Apple gazebo - an outdoor learning space and also advised and commissioned other artists to contribute. These commissions included a willow tunnel, a carved squeeze gate, 'talking tubes' and wayfinding features.
