A significant motif was designed for the main school entrance. The image - a pair of hands cupping a seedling - was designed to encapsulate the ethos of the school :  their caring and nurturing of individual pupils. A 'tree of life' motif was used for DDA required manifestations which linked to the name of the school 'Orchard' as well as the actual orchard of trees that were planted externally.
