The Smethwick scheme consists of two schools on the same site : Holly Lodge High School College of Science and Ruskin House PRU. The strong industrial heritage of the site particularly that of Chance's Glass who were famous worldwide for their manufacture of lighthouse glass elements suggests that this will be an area to explore in the design workshops.
