The colour palette was derived from numerous design sessions with young participants. The final choice used a sophisticated scheme based on colours associated with the history of the area. The overall finishes scheme used feature walls to animate spaces, different flooring colourways to zone floors and 'self colour' finishes for architectural details. The use of stainless steel, brick, glass and galvanised metal contributed to a lively and clean design.
