We worked with pupils from both the High school and the Special school in a programme of inclusive workshops. The intention was that this would introduce both sets of pupils to eachother and encourage better links later when the tow schools were connected as a result of the new build.

The wall and floor finishes scheme was developed from a colour palette derived from pupil engagement responses. Students mixed colour, discussed colour theory and looked at the way that colour could be used to define spaces within the new building. Evocative statements about colour were generated by students of all ages and abilities as part of this artist led research work.

Pupils also worked together to create the design for the leafstream feature. And finally pupils from the special school created artwork for an acoustic banner.
