An illuminated sign with repeat engraved letters in acrylic with LEDs. The LED lights graze through the acrylic sheet and trace the engraved lettering. The advantage of LEDs is that they consume low power and according to the manufacturer have an average lifespan of 100,000 hours. The polished stainless steel 'taps' are machined to laboratory grade standards. The engraved acrylic is 10mm thick and has a sacrificial 3mm acrylic front face sheet.
