Oakham Primary School - Super Graphics

Super graphics for the pool glazing were designed using drawings produced by pupils during engagement sessions. This extract from the engagement blog explains the design principle;

Finally we used magnifying glasses to study the leaves close up and produce detailed pencil sketches of their outline and surface pattern. These drawings were incredible. The point is that we all have a generic leaf shape in our mind's eye but proper observational drawing makes us really look at the object in front of us. The drawings that were produced could be used as part of floor designs or as manifestations on the glazing around the building.

The designs were applied in coloured vinyls to the glass to create a dynamic screen. A feature tiling design was added to the end wall of the pool using colours from the scheme.
