Cantoo was commissioned by Sandwell MBC to develop interior designs for Priory Family Centre. The building is a dual use site which includes Priory Primary School and a Sure Start agency.

Cantoo was commissioned by Leicestershire County Council to develop the interiors for Gartree High School. The school has 800 pupils and is part of a larger campus including a primary school and college.

We were commissioned in 1996 to undertake a Lottery funded two year public art residency on Castle Vale Estate working with the Housing Action Trust. The resulting Artist in Residence (A.I.R.) Scheme was developed by Tim Tolkien as our lead artist on the estate.

Commissioned by Centro the Bilston Beacon concept was developed to accentuate the modernist functional  architecture of the bus station and provide a striking local landmark. Bilston bus terminus is located along the Black Country route .

The Route 8 Bus Information sculptures were commissioned by Centro to create landmarks along important bus routes within Birmingham City. Cantoo produced 2 sculptures based on the colourful local history of the area.

Commissioned by the Heartlands Trust in 1998, the magnificent spitfire sculpture is one of the largest pieces of public art in Birmingham. It is situated adjacent to the Castle Vale estate which we worked on for a number of years as part of the regeneration programme.

Cantoo delivered a consultation programme with Springfield SEN, Leek High Specialist Technology school and Meadows SEN. Ideas generated from this study were used in the new build to invogorate the interior and exterior spaces.

Cantoo were commissioned to deliver the interior design scheme for the Year 5 block last year. Due to the discovery of asbestos the school underwent a complete internal refurbishment of the whole school.

Commissioned by the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and Redditch Borough Council. We worked with local schools and town users to develop a stunning stainless steel needle gateway feature and pedestrian scheme.

Cantoo was commissioned by Leicester County Council to develop the interior of  Bushloe New Build. The existing school is a lively 800 pupil Middle school situated in Wigston, Leicester.

We were commissioned by Centro to develop designs for the refurbishment of the booking office and general environment of Lea Hall Station. The station design was nationally awarded for its impact in the reduction in vandalism and contribution to high satisfaction user surveys.

Cantoo was commissioned by Coventry City Council to develop seat designs for the Canley Estate as well as a play sculpture. Artists worked with residents over a period of time to develop designs which were then translated into a fabricated steel bench.

Cantoo was commissioned by Birmingham City Council Housing to develop proposals for a public art feature as part of the canalside regeneration scheme. A podcast, website and stainless steel sculpture were some of the outcomes.

Forest Way Special School was completed in December 2008. We worked with the school to develop a number of exciting art features located throughout the new build.

Cantoo has been commissioned by Willmott Dixon Construction to develop an engagement programme with Shirland Primary school leading towards a series of art features for inclusion in the new build scheme. Take a look at the blog to catch up on the latest developments.

We worked with Belvoir High school to develop designs for various art features as well as designs for their interior. An initial enagagment programme was initiated which generated ideas and drawn resources for the design work.

We've been working with pupils across all the years at the school. Completion is scheduled for October 2009 - the building design is based around the concept of a 'tree house'.

A 600 pupil Middle school in Leicestershire. Cantoo provided interior design services for the scheme. Features included a unique LED 'Didactic' clock positioned at the entranceway to the school.

Cantoo was commissioned by Leicester County Council to develop the interior of Castle Rock New Build. The school is a lively 500 pupil Middle school situated in Coalville, Leicestershire.

We had already previously been working in the school in partnership with Creative Partnerships, an Arts Council funded programme, and the new build project was an exciting extension of this work.

Highly Commended 'Inspiring Design - Special Schools' 2008

We worked with Blue Coat school and Crreative Partnerships to develop designs to refurbish an LRC space in need of drastic modernisation.

Cantoo is delivering the public art strategy and engagment workshops with both the sample schemes and non sample schemes for the Sandwell LEP

We're working with Staffordshire County Council to deliver the initial Primary school BDSF pupil engagement workshops at the National Memorial Arboretum

We were commissioned to design and curate an exhibition at Gas Hall Gallery BM&AG on behalf of the Ikon Gallery, Barber Institute, MAC and BM&AG. The show ran for three months and included an interactive web site to extend the visitor experience.

We worked with Redditch Community Safety Team to develop digital designs for 3 replacement bus shelters working with local schools in Winyates and Woodrow. They have been described as 21st century stained glass.

Cantoo has been commissioned by Birmingham LEP to deliver an engagement workshop programme with pupils from Broadway School.

We're working with Rutland County Council and Willmott Dixon Construction to deliver an engagement programme with pupils as part of their refurbishment programme.
