Cantoo designs schemes in consultation with those who learn, work and play in them. Projects can vary in size and levels of complexity from refurbishment projects to large new build schemes to site specific installations.
We offer design champion and stakeholder engagement consultancies for the education and regeneration sectors which we embed in the delivery of schemes for interior spaces and the public realm.
We use engagement tools as a creative enabling process through which participants can express ideas about their environment, its function and its impact on those who move inside and outside that space. We think playfulness and enquiry are important to this collaborative process.
Our scope of works for inside spaces includes finishes specification, interior art features, wayfinding, furniture and feature lighting design. We co-ordinate with design teams across disciplines to deliver integrated and innovative schemes.
Our work in outside spaces includes creating permanent artworks, contributing to landscape schemes, street furniture design and large scale public realm projects. These projects define the community ownership of outside spaces and help to regenerate and transform sites, create innovative and vibrant public spaces and contribute to a ‘sense of place’.
We have an extensive chain of manufacturing partners and suppliers that enable us to offer bespoke solutions for the supply of glass, lighting, furniture and fabricated metalwork.
We also have a network of professional associates consisting of architects, interior designers, public artists and media technicians whom we use to enhance and bring value to our schemes.
