Cantoo designs schemes in consultation with those who learn, work and play in them. Projects can vary in size and levels of complexity from refurbishment projects to large new build schemes to site specific installations.
We offer Design Champion and Stakeholder Engagement consultancies to the education and regeneration sectors.
We develop projects that help to regenerate sites, create innovative environments and which contribute to a ‘sense of place’. We use engagement programmes as a creative process through which participants can express ideas about their future environment, its function and its impact on those who move through the space.
We develop programmes of work for public art which can help define community ownership of spaces and ultimately create a unique sense of place. We define Art in the Public Realm, or Public Art, as art within the public domain, such as on our streets, in our parks and our public buildings; which becomes part of our environment either as a functioning entity such as street furniture and signage or purely to enhance our community spaces.
We believe that public art can improve our environment and enhance new developments and that it transforms, revitalises and helps to create vibrant public spaces.
Our extensive network of partners and suppliers enable us to offer bespoke solutions for the supply of glass, lighting, furniture and manufacturing design.
We have a team of freelance associates consisting of architects, interior designers, public artists and media technicians whom we use to enhance and bring value to the schemes that we deliver.
