Commissioned by Centro the Bilston Beacon concept was developed to accentuate the modernist functional  architecture of the bus station and provide a striking local landmark. Bilston bus terminus is located along the Black Country route which is dominated by a series of eclectic public art commisions and the adjacent church has transitioning LED uplighting on its steeple.

The concept that we evolved was to uitilise the 3 external tower structures and create the illusion that light columns emanating from the interior had punched their way through the roof and risen up through the structural roof supports.
