The construction of 10 Dream Seats was identified as one of the first projects at the beginning of the AIR residency. Tim Tolkien designed a sturdy steel bench that could have designs and images ‘plasma’ cut into the back and seat.

The actual designs were created by various local groups working with Tim. Groups that were involved included the Allotments Club, young people from the estate, a resident representing elderly people from Avro House, and the local churches. The completed ‘Dream’ seats were installed in 10 locations around the estate including sites at Reed Square, the Conservation Area,by the Shopping Centre, and on parts of Project Wagtail.
