Pupils were involved in the design process through workshop sessions in which they explored their outdoor environment and collected leaves. Back in  the classroom we talked about colour, shape and the function of leaves. Then we chose a leaf a did some careful observational drawing; looking very closely at the line and contour of the leaves.
